Kettlebell practice, day 1

While I was visiting my parents for the holiday, I took my first kettlebell lesson last week with Sandy Sommer, RKC, in Baltimore. It was so much help! I was very unsure of my form for pretty much every KB move since I'd learned from online videos and a book and don't know anyone locally who trains with kettlebells. Sandy emailed me a 4 week program to follow. today was day 1 of my "new" kettlebell practice.

10 minutes TGU practice, slow and steady with the 20 pound KB

20 minutes of swings, in sets of 10, I started with the 20, did some with the 25, then finished with 4 sets with the 35 pounder. I forgot to count sets, but tried not to rest in between very much

3 sets of snatch practice, 5 each side. I used the 20 pound for this.

I was feeling excited so I added some presses, 3 sets of 5 each side.

overall I felt pretty good and strong today. I have a lot of work to do on the TGU form, and I'm trying to unlearn my bad form on the swing, which I think will take some time. I'm going to follow this plan 3 times a week for the next 4 weeks and I think I will make great progress!
